Hands down, one of the best hotels for families and kids! We stayed here with our 4 boys and it was very accommodating for kids. Lots of activities to keep them busy. The water park is amazing. Friendly and helpful staff made it better. Breakfast option was great and had lots to offer. The restaurant in the hotel is top notch. If we come back to Poland and the Zakopane area, we’re staying here again!

Visited for the thermal baths and had a great time.|It wasn’t quite the sprawling natural baths we expected, more like a few swimming pools. However, super clean and friendly and the bar and restaurant were great value. 40pln to visit the saunarium, very liberating 🙂

We were really looking forward to returning to Hotel Bania after a great stay last year, but sadly, this visit was quite disappointing. The biggest issue was the ongoing construction - something we were not warned about at all before arriving. The noise starts early and continues throughout the day, making it hard to relax or enjoy any peace between visits to the pool or spa.

What made it more frustrating is that there were no special offers or spa discounts, which might have helped balance out the disruption. We also found it uncomfortable that swimsuits are optional in some of the hotel guest pool and sauna areas - this wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the booking info, and it really should be, especially for families or international guests unfamiliar with this setup.

Another unexpected downside was the dinner hours, which are from 2pm to 5pm. That’s quite early, and it would make much more sense to extend them to at least 6:30 or 7pm.

Last year’s stay felt peaceful, well-organized, and worth the cost. This time, it felt like a completely different experience. For a hotel that promotes itself as a relaxing mountain retreat, the lack of communication and current conditions were disappointing. At the very least, pricing should reflect the reality of the stay.

We recently stayed at Hotel Bania and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. One of the biggest issues was the lack of any warning about the major construction taking place on the property. The noise is constant throughout the day, making it nearly impossible to relax between pool sessions or enjoy any quiet moments in the room or on the balcony.

Additionally, there were no special offers or discounts available at the spa during our stay - something we would expect at a hotel positioning itself as a luxury wellness destination, especially under current circumstances.

Another important detail that was never mentioned prior to booking is that swimsuits are optional in certain hotel guest areas, including the pools and saunas. This could be uncomfortable or surprising for families or guests with different expectations.

Dinner hours from 2pm to 5pm are far too early and inconvenient for most guests. Extending service until 6:30 or 7pm would make a big difference and price per person is ridiculously high.

Given all of this, the disruption, the lack of transparency, and the reduced comfort, the pricing feels unjustified. We strongly believe guests should be informed ahead of time, and rates should reflect the current conditions. Disappointing overall for a place we fell in love last year.

A great overpriced disappointment! | |We are four couples and booked four rooms at Hotel Bania at what turned out to be a disproportionately high rate. When we arrived at the hotel, we found ourselves in the midst of a massive building site and a part of the hotel which had been demolished had contained an Italian restaurant which had been highly recommended by our daughter who had been there earlier in the year (before the demolition and building site!). Despite the glowing restaurant descriptions on the hotel’s website (at the time of our booking) there was, in use, only one evening restaurant, with limited menu, which we had no alternative but to use every evening during our stay. This was an important part of our stay and we booked this hotel because it offered options, including a choice of restaurants, which did not materialise. |If we had been advised when we booked, months before, that there was going to be a huge building site with reduced facilities we would NOT in any circumstances have booked this hotel but once there we were stuck. Looking for alternative last minute accommodation was impossible because we were a group of eight.|We’ve complained to the hotel and suggested that they compensate us for a very expensive stay which we would never have opted for had they been completely honest about the situation. This has fallen on deaf ears and the implication is that we should simply ‘suck it up’. |When there, one of the reception staff told us that the hotel was informing some guests of the situation at the time of their booking but she said that because we booked online so weren’t told. Unsurprisingly, the hotel was virtually empty so very little atmosphere too. Never again!|Photos of the building site attached plus a plan of the large demolished wing of the building containing the restaurant mentioned above.

PROS:|- the atmosphere of the hotel itself, the thermal baths, and Kotelnica,|- a wide range of attractions — there’s something to do every day of the week (pools, fitness, yoga, game and VR room, bowling, skiing, snowboarding, biking, excursions, concerts, highlander-style bonfire, and much more),|- the fitness room, although small and without a personal trainer service, is equipped with top-class workout machines,|- the option to purchase half-board dinners during the stay,|- good transport connections with Zakopane (minibuses, buses, Flixbus, Uber, Bolt), making it easy to explore attractions throughout the region,|- GravityPark and BaniaSki with bike and ski rentals and interesting downhill routes,|- a shopping promenade (tiny, but a shopping center is currently under construction)|- despite a complete smoking ban in the hotel, there is a smoking room in the lobby,|- a smartband instead of a room key card, which also lets you forget about your wallet during your stay||CONS:|- the hotel and thermal baths are family-oriented, which means that guests seeking peace and quiet may not be able to fully relax,|- during future expansions, in our opinion, one hotel wing should be designated for guests without children, and the Relaxation Zone in the thermal baths should be properly separated from the Fun Zone,|- in the hotel-guest-only pool area, there is none of hydromassage features, and the salt grotto with graduation tower is not soundproofed (you can hear people outside and the fan itself), although this is somewhat compensated by the saunas and Fizjo&Med services,|- charging hotel guests for parking is scandalous these days (especially since the guest will already be spending money at the AutoSpa)|- no table on the balcony

Unfortunately, Hotel Bania has become more about quantity than quality...
I notice this aspect from the recent negative reviews.
My experience was one that left me with a bitter taste...
I think it's all due to the current management and I think things can still improve, before it's too late... I got room 104 which is positioned EXACTLY next to the huge construction site, which is not written about anywhere. A very cold room. The air conditioning shows that it can be a maximum of 24 degrees, but it only blows cold...in the room the temperature did not exceed 22 degrees. I was lucky with the bathroom door which I left open all day and night. Thus I had the heating from the bathroom radiator.
At 00:10 at night I spoke to the reception, what can we do in this case and they told us that they would bring us blankets!!! Unimaginable for such a hotel and for the requested rates!
Dissatisfied with this aspect, I went down to the reception, they told me that they would change my room (it had an external view of the roof) and to move, but even in that room the air conditioning only worked on cold. I refused to move.
The next morning, following the email I sent, I received a bowl of fruit in my room and the promise that in my room, the thermostat would work up to 26 degrees. Of course, that wasn't the case, it was still blocked on 24...

The quality of the breakfast has dropped a lot. Even the room where breakfast is served (a 1000 person conference room) gives you the impression that everything is cluttered, cold, uninviting. I couldn't find a toaster for toast..

In this hotel where it is clear that they have invested and are continuously investing, I did not have a single second of interaction with a manager!!! A manager who can talk and understand the dissatisfaction and needs of a customer, who can try to solve your situation. You cannot let the reception staff solve customer dissatisfaction. They have neither the training of a manager nor the decision-making power of one. I stayed during the week, when the hotel was at a maximum of 30% occupancy and besides that, we still got a room right on the construction site, when they could relocate us at any time. But I noticed that at Hotel Bania the quantity and not the quality of the services offered takes precedence. So, in the absence of good management (non-existent during our stay), I believe that at this moment you are in total decline. Try to take into account the customers and their opinions.. I myself was at Hotel Bania for the 3rd time and I don't know if I will return under the current conditions.
More than a bowl of fruit placed on the counter, without an apology note of appreciation, thrown away like an animal cage, much more important was a conversation between hotel manager and client! You failed miserably in this aspect too! For over 7 years I have been going at least 2-3 times/year to top hotels all over Poland, but nowhere have I had such a negative experience! Good luck!
